LAIKO
l The CDL/CDLF series are high-efficiency, non-self-priming vertical multistage centrifugal pumps (hereinafter referred to as "the pump"), featuring energy saving, low noise, environmental protection, compact structure, attractive appearance, light weight, easy maintenance and high reliability.
l Key flow components are produced by stainless steel stamping, precision laser welding and stainless steel precision casting.
l CDL: pump body and pump cover in cast iron, wetted parts in stainless steel — suitable for non-corrosive liquids.
l CDLF: all wetted parts, including pump body and cover, in stainless steel — suitable for mildly corrosive liquids.
A liquid of low viscosity, non-flammable, non-explosive, non-vaporizing and free of solid particles and fibers, which does not react chemically with the pump materials. When the density or viscosity of the liquid is higher than that of water, the shaft power increases and a motor of higher power must be selected; please consult our technical support department.
l Liquid temperature: -15℃ ~ +70℃ (standard type, code C); -15℃ ~ +120℃ (hot water type, code R)
l Liquid pH value: pH 5 ~ 9
l Maximum ambient temperature: +40℃
l Maximum altitude: 1000 m
l Minimum inlet pressure: refer to the NPSH curve
The CDL/CDLF series vertical multistage centrifugal pumps are suitable for conveying low-viscosity, non-flammable, non-explosive, non-vaporizing liquids free of solid particles and fibers, and are mainly applied to:
l Water supply — high-rise building water supply and drainage;
l Water supply — waterworks filtration and transportation, pipeline pressurization;
l Booster systems — washing and cleaning systems, boiler feed water, cooling water circulation and other equipment support systems;
l Water treatment — ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, distillation, separators and swimming pools;
l Irrigation — agricultural sprinkler and drip irrigation systems;
l HVAC systems and fire protection systems;
l Others — food and beverage, pharmaceutical industries.
l Flow range: 0.4 ~ 240 m³/h
l Head range: 4 ~ 269 m
l Power range: 0.37 ~ 110 kW
l Maximum working pressure: see Table 1; the sum of the available inlet pressure and the shut-off pressure must always remain below the maximum working pressure of the pump
l Connection types: flange (F), oval flange (A), clamp (K) and threaded (G)
Item | CDL | CDLF | Remark |

Shaft seal | Single-face cartridge mechanical seal | Single-face cartridge mechanical seal | Hard alloy / graphite faces |
Pipe connections | Flange, clamp, threaded, oval flange | Flange, clamp, threaded, oval flange | Selected to suit the site piping |
Typical duty | Water supply, HVAC, boiler feed, water treatment | Food & beverage, pharmaceutical, pure water, mildly aggressive media | Selected by liquid aggressiveness |
l Pump assembly — the pump consists of the motor, motor stool, diffuser, impeller, pump cover, pump body, pump shaft and mechanical seal (see Fig. 1).
l Materials — diffusers, impellers and pump shafts are made of stainless steel; the pump body and pump cover are cast iron on CDL and stainless steel castings on CDLF.
l Impeller and diffuser — stainless steel stamping combined with precision laser welding keeps the flow passages smooth and the pump light and compact.
l Shaft seal — a single-face cartridge mechanical seal with hard alloy / graphite faces gives reliable sealing without external flush water.
l Connections — flange, clamp, threaded and oval-flange connections are available to suit different piping systems.
l Motor — the pump is close-coupled to a standard flanged motor through a rigid coupling; single-phase 220 V and flameproof motors are available on request, with different outline dimensions.
l Installation — install the pump in a well-ventilated, frost-free place at least 150 mm away from any obstruction, keep the suction line as short as possible, fit a check valve in the discharge line, mount the pump on a firm foundation and never let the weight of the piping rest on it. Clean the pipework before installation and fit a strainer 0.5 ~ 1 m ahead of the suction inlet if particles may be present.
l Electrical connection — to be carried out by a qualified electrician: match the supply to the motor nameplate, fit a starter and protector against phase loss, voltage fluctuation and overload, earth the motor reliably and isolate the power before opening the terminal box.
l Start-up — fill the pump completely with liquid and vent it through the plug on the pump cover before every start; dry running is strictly prohibited. Check that the foundation bolts are tight and the suction valve is fully open, and confirm that the direction of rotation matches the arrow on the pump (counter-clockwise seen from the fan end).
l Operating limits — do not start the pump more than 100 times per hour for motors up to 4 kW, or 20 times per hour above 4 kW; operate within the recommended flow range, since too low a flow causes overheating and too high a flow overloads the motor.
l Periodic inspection — check the operating pressure, leakage, motor temperature, strainer condition, vibration and noise at regular intervals, and refer to the troubleshooting table if an abnormality appears.
l Frost protection — at ambient temperatures below 0℃, drain the pump after shutdown to prevent frost damage.
l Long shutdown — clean the pump and apply protective measures if it is to be out of service for a long period.
l Warranty — free warranty service is provided for 18 months from the date of purchase, provided that the pump has been correctly selected and correctly used.
l Lifetime service — beyond the warranty period, lifetime service continues to be provided, together with a guarantee of long-term and timely supply of spare parts.
l Follow-up — our sales staff contact customers periodically by telephone or on-site visits, keep detailed service records and provide free technical advice when required.
l Exclusions — damage caused by user disassembly within 18 months of purchase is not covered; all resulting consequences are borne by the user.
